In the initial years, TGMC Bank conducted its banking operations under the guidance of Bangalore Grain Merchant Co-Operative Bank Limited.

Mr. A.K. Parshvanath is the founder chairman of TGMC Bank. On 02.10.1963 elections were held for the Board of Management and 12 directors were elected. The bank has made great progress between 1963 and now, when there were only 256 members with a share capital of 135,000. Since then, the number of members joining the bank has increased significantly. Now it has more than 11885 members. The bank celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013.

TGMC Bank is the first fully computerized bank in Tumkur and the bank is providing good services to its customers and the bank is increasing its profit over the years.
