With the collective efforts of some dedicated members of the cooperative movement,NAGPUR NAGARIK SAHAKARI BANK LIMITED bank was started in the year 1962. This bank is one of the oldest and leading cooperative banks of Vidarbha. The first branch of Nagpur Nagrik Sahakari Bank was started in Gandhibag area of ​​Nagpur.
The bank was given scheduled bank status on 22 May 1999. This bank has also acquired the status of a multi-state scheduled bank on 21 March 2001. Today, the area of ​​operation of the bank is Raipur, Durg across the state of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The Bank has adopted the Model Bye-laws of Multi-State Co-operative Societies on approval with effect from 17/12/2004.
