Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank Limited, Pune was established in the year 07 November 1972 by the founders Late Shri Namdevrao Rukari, Bharatsheth Gadve and Baburao Harpale, with the objective of taking Bank and Banking to the masses by adopting the principle of Cooperation in Banking. Started as a small co-operative bank and gradually increased its branches to 15, during the year 2011 with the merger of Nipani Bank, Karnataka, the bank jurisdiction became a multi-state co-operative bank with Maharashtra State and Chikodi Taluka, Distt. has gone.
Now the bank has a network of 28 branches and 23 ATMs. The bank has maintained the level of NPA percentage during the last 6 years.
It is the first non-scheduled urban co-operative bank in Pune district to have state-of-the-art independent data center with disaster recovery center in different earthquake zone under CBS.
